EXIST-Women

One of the objectives of the Federal Government’s Startup Strategy is to strengthen female entrepreneurship and diversity in startups. At 20%, the share of women receiving startup funding from EXIST stands above the national average and has continued to increase, particularly in recent years. The work of startup networks has also contributed to this positive development, delivering a diverse range of services aimed at raising awareness among women and at providing funding and networking support for female entrepreneurs.

Beyond the EXIST workshops, we would like to boost this positive trend by providing help with female entrepreneurship and the opportunity to share experience on the EXIST website at www.exist.de. We therefore invite all startup networks at German higher education and research institutions to share a business profile and to draw inspiration from the diverse range of services.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Projektträger Jülich (PtJ) has created the “Survey on good practice measures” in the area of female entrepreneurship, which you can access via the link https://wd1159.customervoice360.com/uc/EXIST_Women/. The findings from this survey are continuously updated and compiled in a table that can be downloaded here.

You can find out about new developments and activities around promoting and supporting women-led startups at higher education and research institutions on the EXIST website.
